Universal Forwarder provides its clients and shipowners with a full range of shipping agent services in the Russian ports of the Baltic and Azov-Black Sea basins.

We handle annually 1200 to 1600 calls of ships operating on tramp trades. Our success is based on knowledge of the current situation in the port, insights and outook of the ocean shipping and services market.

Our Agency Renders Services to the Following Ships:

Comprehensive Handling of Calls

We arrange the movement of the vessel in the port basin
We arrange the mooring, towing to an anchorage location, and departure of ships from the port. We contract pilotage, towing, mooring service providers.
We arrange the execution of duties by the state inspectors
We arrange the activity of the arrivals / departures state inspection commission at berths (at an offshore anchorage), together with border control, customs and quarantine agencies
We supervise the process of loading (unloading) of the vessel
We contribute to the early completion of scheduled work; resolve disputes and claims.
We prepare and complete the required shipping documents
B/L, cargo manifests, general acts, time sheets and others.
We organize the supply and maintenance of the vessel at the port
If necessary, we assist in the arrangement of ship chandler maintenance, repair work, bunkering.
We provide services for the crew
If necessary, we can assist in crew rotation, hotel accommodation, medical and legal assistance.
We monitor compliance with all port formalities
We ensure the payment of state port dues and other fees, monitor the removal of restrictions and obtaining of all the required permits for vessel departure.

We value our reputation and closely monitor the execution of the shipmaster (ship owner) instructions at the port.

Supervision of Loading / Unloading Operations

Our company specializes in comprehensive support of cargo shipments at seaports. Team work of Universal Forwarder’s own branches of shipping agents and forwarders helps the company to achieve maximum control in the implementation of cargo handling operations at the terminals.

We control the timeliness and correctness of the execution of shipping documents;
We control and record in a timesheet lay days, laytime;
Monitor and prevent underloading, dead freight;
We organize control of the readiness of cargo spaces;
We interact with surveyors and experts;
We inform the shipowner and the shipper about the progress of work, give a forecast of events;
To optimize the handling operations we work hand in hand with local stevedoring companies;
We settle and resolve some issues and possible complaints
