Port of Tuapse



The Tuapse branch of Universal Forwarder handles annually 400 to 550 calls.

The Tuapse office is based on the territory of “Tuapse Commercial Sea Port” — the sole stevedoring operator of the Port of Tuapse.

Our shipping agents specialize primarily in services to large-tonnage tramp freighters transporting export grain, coal and ferrous metals. We monitor the process of loading dry bulk cargo in order to prevent and avoid as much as possible the risks associated with load shifting, liquefaction and overflow, its spontaneous heating and combustion during further movement of the vessel. In addition, we take into account the loading time of weather-sensitive cargo in order to inform shipowners and charterers in time about all the delays that occur.

A separate activity is the handling of Ro-Ro vessels with rolling cargo. This type of ship is used to deliver perishable food cargoes from Asia and Europe to the Port of Tuapse, so the shipping agent agility is especially important here. We have a wide practice on the issues of accelerated arrangement of cargo document flow with customs and border authorities, representatives of sanitary and epidemiological supervision.

Port of St. Petersburg

The St. Petersburg branch of Universal Forwarder handles annually 500 to 610 ship calls in the Greater Port of St. Petersburg.

The St. Petersburg office is based on the territory of "Sea Port of St. Petersburg" – the largest Russian multipurpose terminal in the Baltic Sea.

Our St. Petersburg shipping agents’ main focus is handling calls of ships with exports / imports to the port basin. We provide agency services for ships transporting export ferrous metals of various types, mineral fertilizers in bulk and in big-bags, project and industrial equipment, grain, other solid bulk and break-bulk cargo. The company's specialists know the specifics of the organization of various composition state commissions for inspecting vessels, help shipowners in compliance with all requirements and formalities related to the loading and vessel stay at the seaport.

During inland shipping season, from April through November, we ensure the passage through the basin of Greater Port of St. Petersburg for ships with transit, short-sea trade and export cargo heading to the Baltic Sea from inland waterways of Russia. We serve the dry bulk carriers and oil tankers of Volga Shipping Company and other owners and operators of inland and sea-going vessels.

Port of Ust-Luga

The Universal Forwarder’s St. Petersburg branch specialists provide ship agency services for the merchant and technical fleet in the Port of Ust-Luga.

Operations in the Port of Ust-Luga started in 2003 making it one of the Youngest seaports in Russia. Over the twenty years of its expansion, it has become the second largest seaport in Russia, second to Port of Novorossiysk and the fifth port by volumes in Europe and the first in the Baltic Sea. In 2019, the port’s cargo throughput exceeded 100 million tonnes a year. The terminals have introduced the latest technologies and equipment for handling dry bulk, liquid bulk, break-bulk, container and Ro-Ro cargoes. The port authorities pay much attention to environmental protection. All this ensures the gradual growth of ship calls and the demand for the services of highly qualified shipping agents.

Port of Taganrog

The Universal Forwarder handles of up to 330 calls per year at the berths of the main terminal of the port of Taganrog — “Taganrog Commercial Sea Port”.

Shipping agents render regular services to merchant fleet for the export of grain cargo, coal, ferrous metals, equipment, and other industrial goods transported both in bulk and as packed cargo in big-bags. The handling of tankers transporting fuel oil, lubricants and other oil products is Universal Forwarder’s separate activity in the port.

Taking into account the berths shallow depths, our specialists have accumulated experience providing agency services for small-tonnage mixed ‘river-sea’ class vessels arriving at the port from inland waterways (the mouth of the Don River) as well as entering the port from the Kerch Strait.

Port of Kaliningrad

Additionally, we ensure ship agency services for our clients shipowners in the Port of Kaliningrad. Our specialists annually handle 60 to 200 ship calls of vessels shipping export ferrous metals.

The sea commercial port of Kaliningrad was established in 1945 after the transfer of the territory with the seaport of Koenigsberg under the jurisdiction of the former USSR. The port has deep historical and commercial ties with Western Europe and global merchant shipping. The annual cargo volume of the port exceeds 10 million tonnes.
